The WatchTowers Networks journey till now
Establishment of the first commercial wildfire monitoring network.
Our team was instrumental in the creation of the first commercial wide-scale wildfire monitoring network around Lake Tahoe in Nevada, laying the groundwork for future innovations in wildfire management.
First WatchTowers installation in Australia.
The first installation of WatchTowers Infrastructure was completed in the Australian Capital Territory, co-sponsored by Optus and the Minderoo Foundation, in partnership with the ACT Rural Fire Services.
Expansion to Utah, United States.
WatchTowers Infrastructure was installed across the state of Utah, co-sponsored by PacifiCorp and Rocky Mountain Power, marking our expansion into the U.S. market.
Founding of WatchTowers Networks
WatchTowers Networks was officially founded, driven by the vision of transforming wildfire management through technology and strategic partnerships.
Co-development with ACT Rural Fire Services.
After a year of intensive development, we launched our situational awareness tool, co-developed with the ACT Rural Fire Services and surrounding partner agencies. This tool was built by firefighters, for firefighters, to enhance operational effectiveness.
First interagency joint network.
We established the first interagency joint network between ACT Rural Fire Services and NSW Parks and Wildlife, enabling cross-border agencies to operate using real-time situational awareness and coordinated joint operations.
Launch of public networks platform.
The first public-facing Networks platform was launched in the Australian Capital Territory, empowering communities with real-time data to stay informed and safe.
Continued growth and integration.
We established the first interagency joint network between ACT Rural Fire Services and NSW Parks and Wildlife, enabling cross-border agencies to operate using real-time situational awareness and coordinated joint operations.
